![]() ![]() This additional layer of user intervention requires entry of a 6-digit verification code that is sent to the device that must be entered during the push login process. To address these conditions, we are introducing Verified Duo Push on our most critical information systems (Ignite, BearWeb, Microsoft 365, and - soon - VPN) in early November 2022. Recent experiences at Baylor and other institutions have demonstrated that our current Duo Push implementation is vulnerable to both harassment (multiple, successive push notifications intended to bother a user into accepting a push for a fraudulent login attempt) and user fatigue (users paying less attention to the details, causing them to mindlessly accept a push login). Further testing will take place after November 28 and it will soon be enabled. NOTE: Due to some initial complications, Verified Duo Push has not yet been implemented on BearWeb. To enroll one of these devices for Duo, click the Enroll Now button above. The preferred Duo two-factor authentication method in our community is Duo Push through the Duo Mobile app on an iPhone, iPad, or Android-based device. "Call Me" and "Text a Passcode" Options No Longer Availableīaylor decided to turn off these two-factor authentication methods in our community because they have become very effective attack vectors for people running phishing scams. This additional layer of protection provides insurance against threats to personal information, sensitive research data, and other university information and resources stored within BearWeb, Box, Canvas, and other online platforms. Baylor protects all of its information resources with Duo two-factor authentication. ![]()
